Is it just me, or does it seem that a lot of the post on this forum recently don't seem to be "related to tractors and farming" Let the hate post begin!!
It's always been that way, far as I can recall.

I also recall a ton more traffic. A question asked in the morning would be on pg 3 by evening, no matter the subject. Now some of these boards should be checked for a pulse.

Maybe because folks come here to talk tractor and have to filter through all the fluff!! 🤷‍♂️

It's got a little better since they moved the Talers forum near the top several years ago. Some of us with more feeble memories need to be reminded we are not on the Talers forum.

Aside from the fact that there are fewer people playing with old tractors, there are many more online forums to choose from. Also, some of the regulars here have been run off by the grumpy SOBs that feel the need to pick on others. Some of the grumpy SOBs have also been run off.

Beyond all of that it is just that time of year when most of the farm work is done, and people turn to other projects, ideas and interests. But mostly, many of the long time members have seriously slowed down and are doing less and some are just surviving in old age. There is not nearly enough new member traffic to keep the sight as lively as it once was.

Myself as an example, was once an avid antique puller, while not officially old yet, the tractors have taken a back seat to other interests and obligations. Daughter is a senior this year and have been trying to spend more time with her activities before she flies the nest next fall. Meanwhile I have been doing a lot of outdoor work involving tractors, the 2 primary ones I use now, were built in this century, not the 1900’s.

Fewer posts period. Too many members have left and to tell the truth, a lot of the ones on Tales are folks I just don't want to discuss anything with.
