You know you are getting old

Or Geritol!

I feel old when I go into a store to buy a newspaper. Half the time they're either out of papers or don't carry them. When I ask the clerks, they usually look at me like I asked for barrel of blackstrap molasses.

Our daily paper has gotten so thin there's hardly anything in it. And they even stopped printing it on Mondays! The only thing about it that hasn't gotten smaller is the price!

The Detroit Free Press is now up to $3.49 weekdays and $3.99 on Sunday. I buy it mostly for the puzzles, and never on Monday or Tuesday because the puzzles are too easy those days.

I subscribed to the local Oakland Press for many years, but the paper kept getting thinner while the price kept going up. I quit subscribing a few years ago. They call me up a few times a year to try to get me to subscribe, but I'm done with the OP.

In Florida, I read the excellent Tampa Bay Times, which now only publishes on Sunday and Wednesday. The Sunday TBT issue includes all the puzzles for the entire week, which at a couple of bucks makes it a real bargain.

We get the paper 3 times a week. (sometimes) No Sunday paper. Delivered by the mail. My wife likes to read it but I guess I don't really care.
