1710 Hydraulics are inoperable after sitting over the winter. Clean fluid, filter changed 50 hours ago.

I have not ever had trouble with my Shibaura Fords so I don't have hands on experience. That being said, I do have the Service Manual which should help immensely when that time comes. Here is the Hydraulic Troubleshooting page with the Fails To Operate box.

    Paint codes (again) - Dupont

I have used the PPG paint with PPG hardener 10/1 and it was outstanding paint. Just a plug, can't comment on the others.

    430 and 530 Diesels again

These two sold at estate auction today. Both in great condition. 430 hammered at $5700 and the 530 sold at $4750. Nice machines.

Best series 12 volt battery for Farmall 400 With Gas Engine.

I agree with anything that fits. The gas engine is easy to roll over and tuned right it should fire off in one or two compressions.

    PTO suddenly grinding

It would not have rusted up stuck in just one or two days. try removing all free play from pedal adjustment. This will give more separation of pressure plate/clutch disc.

using gasoline instead of diesel to flush transmission?

Agree with Caterpillar Guy and GeneMO. I have always avoided flushing a tranny because I didn't want to loosen crud. I was happier knowing it was stuck to the bottom. Only cleaned thoroughly with the tranny cracked open. Gas is a no-no for all the above reasons.

The offset Fords seems to be thicker in tobacco country, southeast states and Kalifornia. East central Missouri must have had some great Ford dealers because there are zillions of Fords around here. Last fall I saw a Ford 541 sell at estate auction for $4600. and it was non running but straight...

    Ford 2000 offset ID

Again, as Sean says. And again, it's a late tractor and the boys at the factory could have pieced it together with that transmission if the 3 cylinders were being rolled out. As long as you have that transmission it will never be a 541

The silver looking piece is a hydraulic pump manifold made out of aluminum that supplies and returns hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic pump above. tubes go thru the tranny to the hydraulics in (front of) the rear end.

    Ford 2000 offset ID

As Sean says. The first 2 means 134 engine, next 1 means built after 1963, next 20 means utility with adjustable front axle, the last 1 is the four speed with PTO. I always enjoy looking these things up. The serial number puts it as a later 1964.

    Always on the hunt

Nice find! Draggin home the non runners and bringing them back to life is most satisfying.

    Ford 555 water pump pressure

The missing fan shroud was probably your overheating problem. My manual says the same as yours. I run whatever good quality hydraulic fluid I have on hand. The 134D is the "one oil does all" that Ford specifies and is compatible with wet brakes in the trannies. Your TLB hydraulic system is self...

    Ford 860 Exhaust Glowing Hot

That's not normal. As Old says, lean or timing.

    2606 Radiator leaks

In my radiator experience, it seems once a tube starts leaking then it's almost certain the rest of the core will leak soon. They get little pinholes all over them eventually. over 50-70 years they dissolve from the inside out probably from wet heating/cooling cycles and vibration.

Carefully check the cylinders at the hose connections before assuming its the cylinders leaking. My swing cylinders leaked and power steering leaked until I checked the connections/replaced hoses. My steering cylinders leaked at the copper washer under the jam nut.
