Cub Steering Gear Castle Nut size needed

What is the size of the castle but on the steering gear for the cub? Threads in mine are not the best and I’d like to order the appropriate size tap and die to clean them up. Thanks!

The nut part number is now 70119 D according to messicks but nla.

A 15 second search shows it to be 5/8-18. You probably could have done it in 0:10.

Castle nuts can be found at any industrial supply including McMaster. Cheaper to just replace it.

I wanted to clean up the threads on the steering gear shaft too. Tap and die did the trick on both plus I could get the tap and die next day from Amazon. Had it together and land plow on yesterday!
