6000 series air conditioning

Does any one offer a kit to install air conditioning into a 6000 series cab?

I'm sure not. As I recall, everything is in the cab. We added AC after buying the tractor new (6060), but that was, heavens, nearly 40 years ago! Didn't have to take the cab apart. Just added the compressor and lines, etc. Maybe you could find a tractor scrapped?

Ok thank you Bob. I am considering an "upgrade" purchase of a 6060 with a cab, and I figured if I was going to spoil myself I may as well go all the way.

We really liked the cab. It was our first cab tractor. But no doubt about it, you'll roast without AC. The mistake we made was we should have purchased a 6080. Bigger tires/more gears. That was answered with the 6070, but that wasn't available when we bought.

I remember when the guy I worked for bought a 6080 brand new in '84, what a beauty she was. He didn't spring for the ac and regretted it.

Too bad he didn't add it. We did, and like I said, it was easy. And we added the "stadium lights". Wow.
