Need help with 8N Brake pedal alignment

New owner of a 1950 8N and working on rebuilding it to get into useable condition. I've replaced the rear axle seals, new hubs, new brakes, etc. but I need some help getting the brake petals to align. I understand the left side is adjustable but the right side is not.

The issue I have is that the right side brake petal is higher than the left side and the left side petal is maxed out and hitting the running board mounting bracket.

Is there a trick or adjustment to get the right petal lower to meet the left petal?

You say you just worked on the brakes. On the left side there are three springs (adjuster side spring, one big green spring and one smaller black spring in the front). The right side only has two springs (adjuster side and one big spring in the front). The extra spring is to compensate for the longer bar to get the pedal to the right side.

Did you also put this extra spring on the right side? This would make the pedal sit higher.

No, only put two springs on the right side and made sure the adjuster was in the correct position so it could be accessed through the backing plate.

Seems these can give us fits. Like to chime in and ask about the right side. I have three springs on that side. When peddle is depressed it wants to stay down without retracting. Also when you press the peddle it tries to turn the whole deal. Shoes try and turn. Thinking too much pressure on the springs. Pulling it towards the front on the top of the shoes. So instead of separating they try and turn. Any ideas? Thanks.
