so i have a 1962 John Deere 4010 gas with the 301 the question I have is will the turbo manifold off a 404 bolt on to the 302 gas looking for a little more out of the gas dont want to go diesel thanks in advance

I used a LP Intake on my 4010. Thought it helped. But had frost trouble. Wrapped 3/8" refrigerator tubing around just above carb. Then exhaust wrap over it
There is plug in water pump to hook tubing to. And other end goes in to thermostat housing. But look for a combine 466 motor in a scraping yard. Ours will sell things for Double what they paid. Your motor ain't enough.

Turbo manifold will bolt right on. Depending on what class you’re in it probably won’t be enough.

You could find a 8.1 cng, run it on gas or propane, may have to run crank trigger ignition system.also seen 466 on gas, with distributor in place of injection pump ,if you google it, someone was making a fuel injection kit for them but they are not cheap.

There was a pretty hot 4010 from Mo pulling a little this winter till the crank broke. We have the motor in the shop now to replace the crank and do the rest of the build the right way. Was not put together very good by the last guy. If I find a video I will post it.

I pulled with or against 2 -4010's last month. One gas and other Diesel. Both ran good. I believe one won a class at Duquion Il. I never saw the run. Rumor was they were over 700 inches. When the JD guys decide to build them they will be the next 460- 560 .

I believe so.

I believe it was a CNG motor. Word was it was a rare one as JD only made a few for the application it was used in whatever that means.
