Disc Mower Curtain

Looking to replace curtain on Fella disc mower. Where can I find decent one. Aftermarket would be fine. Have seen several online. Wondering if anybody has suggestions. Thanks.

Never heard of a "Fella." If you want one that fits you'd have to go to the "Fella" dealer. According to google they are now owned by Agco so if you're in the states you might be able to go to your nearest Agco dealer for parts.

As Barnyard said, Fella was purchased by AGCO a number of years ago. All the current Massey-branded disc mowers are built in the old Fella factory in Germany. Fella was always more of a European brand so even though the company has been around for a long time you don't see a lot of their products in the US.

If you decide on an aftermarket curtain make sure that it is from a reputable company and, most importantly, meets the ISO 17103 industry standard - you don't want just a cheap tarp sewn up to fit the mower frame. Disc mower curtains are there to prevent thrown objects (including those that would otherwise have a flight path in your direction) and the standard defines the minimum allowable puncture and tear resistance of the material.

haytools.com seems to sell aftermarket, might do custom. I never bought one from them though.

I have not heard of that safety standard-good to know! That said, I bought I Fella mower (240) abbot 20 years ago and it needed a curtain, blades, and a shoe. I bought an aftermarket curtain from a local dealer. The fit was poor, and the material was thin and cheap. It tore up in a few years, and my wife (she sews) made me another one. There was trial and error since there was no pattern for her to follow, but it has lasted 10-12 years or more.
Tarver Sales in Louisianna has been my parts supplier for a long time now. Their # is 985 796 3286. They have been very knowledgeable and helpful. They ship UPS. No problems. Mark.
