I "had" one of those right up to the point thst it launched a can across the shop. Now collecting dust in the back ofvthe shelf.

I've always had trouble with Rustoleum spray cans, when they have sat on the shelf for a long time, clogging the nozzle. Had a HF sawsall and rigged a long blade with hose clamps to save my sore elbows. Use it when ever I grab an old spray can.

Did you figure a way of unclogging nozzles? I've bought nozzles off Ebay but the problem is often in can where nozzle fits.

I take the nozzles off and put them in a jar with acetone in it, that way if one clogs I pull-out different one and keep on spraying.

I found that if the can has been sitting in the cold garage a rinse with hot tap water helps it flow better.

When I finish spraying and there is still paint in the can, I spray it with brake clean to clear the nozzle

I use carb cleaner. Most nozzles will fit on the end of that little red straw on the carb cleaner can. I just slip it on there and give it a couple shots.

I haven't heard anyone mention it but surely everyone knows that when you are done using a spray can, you turn it upside down and press the nozzle until the paint coming out clears and it's just spraying the clean propellant.

Rustoleum changed their cans 2-3 years ago to all position. Turn them upside down and they just keep spraying.

That doesn't always work for 2 reasons: 1. Some cans are spray in any position; 2. if you do a lot of short squirting, you run out of CO2 before you run out of paint.

Don't even have to do that. Just point the Brake Parts Cleaner nozzle at the hole in the end of the spray head and give it a squirt.

I'll try the nozzle cleaning suggestions. If they work I'll have a 5 year supply of rattle paint.

I have many spray paint cans in my shed and I buy new ones once in a while. I have yet to run into one where I couldn't turn it upside to clear the nozzle.
