Yesterday while mowing my Deutz 6207 had an electrical fire. I was able to save the tractor, but the wiring was lost. I know this is not a major brand but would appreciate any help to find a wiring harness for a Deutz 6207. It is a good tractor which I need. Thanks.

In the manufacturer section of the forum there is a lesser known category. I do not know how much traffic it gets, but try it. Jim

I would Google local tractor salvage near you and contact them to try to get a good wiring harness.

2 years ago I rewired my JD 1020 with a harness from AGRI services. Fantastic. Matched original color code, came with printed diagram, and each wire was tagged. Original connectors. Very, very pleased. They will ask a whole lot of questions to get thr correct setup.

If all else fails and you can't buy a new wiring harness, make your own wiring harness.
I wired my Jubilee using old damaged 14g extension cords.
Each circuit, lights, charging, ignition, I added a fuse to help prevent fires.
My boss used to have a 120v hedge trimmer and she was very good at cutting extension cords.
She no longer cuts cords. I got her a cordless hedge trimmer.
I have 2 drawers full of used wires from appliances I scrapped out plus extension cords.

Is that a 1980 - 1984 tractor? If it is, I’d think you ought to be able to get it running with a fairly simple wiring harness.

Couple 50 foot rolls of 3 wire with a wiring schematic might be the ticket they sell it in a pre insulated loom at the local parts store it will probably be heavier than the old stuff anyway. Did you find the cause of fire? Don’t want to have a second fire if it was a wiring issue
