Pa installed a used 4 stall parlor in 71. Similar experience here.Yup we had a couple old bucket machines with that logo on them some place been 50 years since we used than almost. Put in a surge parlor in the 70's so only used it after that for milking at the fair if we had milking cows there or if we had a treated cow to hold milk for. Was easier than sorting her out each milking.
Surge & De Laval were always big around here. There were a couple of McCormick holdouts in the '80s that held their ground until they quit farming. The one was a John Deere farm that got a better deal on that setup & the IH dealer was closer than the green guys. Not sure about the other guy. He was at the dealer looking for a new O ring for the lid to the pail. That was one big O ring! The name on the side is Babson Brothers of Chicago. That's pretty cool. When I was a kid, Babson Bros. had a plant in my small home town, and I worked there during my senior year of high school. The name on the side is Babson Brothers of Chicago. Some might recognize it from the past.View attachment 83149View attachment 83150
