WE GOT RAIN

I know it's in all caps, cause I'm shouting. We got a little over 1/2" yesterday and 2 tenths last night. Not much but a whole lot when there hasn't been any for over 6 weeks. Ory yard is brown but starting to green up a little this morning. I guess I can start mowing hay Monday, at least it might have put a little moisture in the hay.

That's great news. I received 1/4" and grateful for that. Out in the hay field you can still see where we spread powdered lime.....5 months ago. So little rain it just lies there.

Good for you, we had dust 1/2" deep and finally got a good rain that wasn't predicted. It required leaving tools out, lawnmower out, hay uncovered, and a number of other things not supposed to get wet. It started at 3 o'clock in the morning so I got to really enjoy it putting stuff away.

We got fractional of an inch last night and the next several days are scheduled for more of the same. The great news is that the temps associated with it are peaking in the afternoon in the high 90's with high 70's at night. Looks like the triple digit days are over for the year.....yeaaaaaaa.

In my area we just received 1.5 plus inches of rain in less then an hour and it is still raining but not a gully washer like it was earlier

I got 1-6/10 Thursday and 1-8/10 Tuesday. Had floods this spring, then dry enough to hurt the crops, now back to mud again for harvest. The corn and hay are very good tho, oats and barley were bad.

I think you've said you're not to far from me...Winchester, Adams county...and the last couple evenings we've had the wind and a couple drops then nothing. Supposed to get a quarter inch today, we'll see.

Since the water faucet was turned on last year right after the 4th of july they have not turned it off. I was talking with my crop insurance agent and when I told her about the dates and amounts she said you guys have been getting drowned there haven't you . seems like we get a half inch or more every week. some times twice a week with that much or more. Some times it has been a couple inches. Just barely dryng out from last fall.

The area where our tree farm and cabin is in N MN got just over 3 inches in one day last week, we needed rain but not that much. Surprisingly, it's not that wet, the first inch just went down into the cracks in the ground. There's a reason it's called the Rainy River!
