Corrugated panel will bend to the curve of the roof. Pro-rib panel won’t. Back in 77 Pa was told white Pro-rib would bend to the barn roof. It didn’t. Two days later an order of corrugated galvanized arrived. There's a place that will come out \measure your roof then make the steel to fit the curve for barns with those curved roof s like that. Was talking to a guy in MN that was telling me about it. Apparently they are a one piece length from peak to eave. don't know who nor where they are at.
Cheap paint?Corrugated would bend but didn't like to. I was towards the top on a new round barn, helping pull the full length sheets up then holding them down as we nailed it on, purlin by purlin going up. They sure got springy to nail down at the top, especially the lap joints! Maybe we should've started on top and worked down!
Every nail held with a pliers and whack, whack, whack to poke thru! Not sure if lead-heads or neo-nails.
Only trouble was; two yrs later dad was back up there at the fellas place, siliconing the leakers...
The pre-formed sheets would've been nice.
Beautiful barn and place! Even the barn cleaner is out back!
No ID staves on the top ring of the silos. Every supplier had a certain pattern I thought.
Beautiful barn and silos... and sad that it is being let go.
I mean I understand why people let old barns go now days... but it is still sad to see.Beautiful barn and silos... and sad that it is being let go.![]()
