I just got an early Farmall, I was told it was a F-20, but I'm not so sure. It has three speeds and one reverse, the fuel tank is flat on the back, the hole in the hood is rough non-factory job, and the intake stak sticks a ways above the hood. It has F-20 type steering. So what to you think, F-20 or Regular? It has a plate stamped on the left rear axle housing is this the number? The number on the plate is 1523DB. What year would this make it if it is a serial number?

Exposed steering gears and 3 speed transmission would be Farmall Regular. Enclosed steering gear and 4 speed transmission on F20, as far as I know anyway. Also exhaust below the hood on Regular and through the hood for F20. Open brakes on Regular, enclosed brakes on F20

Are you switching colors Andrew?
No, to make long story short I inherited a threshing machine, but the guys in charge of the estate wouldn't let me take it since i don't have place indoors to store it, but said I could take the Farmall instead if I wanted it. So i thought "why not, its a free tractor." I just didn't realize at the time it was a Regular.
