101 Junior decal placement

My 1944 101 Jr. Std is getting close to finished. Decals are in the mail. But, I don't know where the small, square informational decals go. The big ones are easy, and I took placement measurements off the originals before I started painting. Any help would be appreciated, especially pics of the decals. steve

Hi Steve. I will see if my old 101s out side here have any old decals on them. Might take me a bit just got back late last night from a holiday in Mexico. It’s cold outside here this morning.

Looks a lot like the 1944 that we had. Do you have the hood side panels?
Bob, I built new side panels. I have an original set on my 1946 101, but they're pretty beat up. And I sold the smaller battery panels before I got this other tractor to restore, since they wouldn't fit over some "farmering" I had done to put a loader on it. Poor planning. But the new ones turned out ok. The curves on the battery panels turned out well. I cut divots out of the top inside flange and welded them back up in a slight curve. And I had fun designing the wingnut latches that turn to latch the big panels. I also learned how to make hinges. steve

Thanks, Kevin. There is a restored one down south of me, in St. Maries, ID and I'm trying to contact the owner to see if he has the info, too. I think one of them might be the safety warning on top of the PTO shroud.

Hi Steve. The tractor is looking really nice. The oil cup on the air cleaner should have a decal on it not sure what it should say exactly. I took a picture of the seat decal and your right about the PTO shield. Not much help to you but some one on this sight should be more helpful.

That covers two of the three. I'm still trying to figure out the square one with a lot of verbiage on it - Upper Right in the photo:

I may have to wait to see what it says, once it gets here. You might be right about the air cleaner. steve

The one with all the printing on it is for the recommended tire pressures. I’d be surprised if the 101 tractors had that decal on them. None of my old original paint parts tractors have it on them. The picture I sent is hard to read because it’s a new decal that came in the kit I got for my 25.

I've never seen that one on any of the 101's I have pics of in my collection. I think I'll keep it in my stash, just in case someone else needs it. Thanks for the help on this.

Any time Steve. I could be wrong on this but I don’t think I’ve seen that tire pressure decal until the start of the Massey Ferguson tractors. Stay safe.

I can not speak to the 101, If I remember correctly our 1953 MH33 had the tire pressure decal on the side of the toolbox that hung under the left platform.

I'll have to look into that use. As far as I've seen, the 101 didn't have a toolbox there, but that makes sense that it would be a good location for the decal. Thanks for that info. steve

That’s interesting quefan. Never thought to look at that location. I will check on a few MH models tomorrow for that and report back.

Good morning Steve. Went out this morning and had a look at my mustang and the 101 and the 102s that I have. No such decal on the ones that have a tool box. However when I checked my 1946 original not painted 55 and an old 44 that I have I found that decal. On the platform mounted toolbox on the 55 and on a slide out tool box on the 44. Personal opinion of mine would be to leave that decal in your collection for now. Still don’t believe the 101 etc used that decal. And I was wrong about it not being used until Massey Ferguson.
