How many tractors needed for potatoes

I need a cub and mower to knock down the grass. Then the 9N to pull the middle buster. Then the pickup to do the picking up. To finish I used the cultivator to see what was missed and level the mess back out. Well, it beats a hoe.

You should see potato harvest around here. One of the operations harvests 18 rows at a time, the other one does 20 rows at a time. Believe me, there are more than three tractors and one truck in the fields nonstop for months.

People always asked me why I needed so many tractors for haying. 1 for mowing,1 for tedding, 1 for raking, 1 for baling, and1 one for a spare. Pretty easy to understand in my opinion,that's the one that counts!!!!!

Let me count. When digging we had a 140 with belly mower to mow vines, a 130 with reversed disc hillers to square up the row, A 275 massey with a 2 row digger, a 1 ton flatbed to carry crates thru field and drop off on rows spaced for the workers to use, 2 tractors with 16 foot trailers for hauling in and a 1 1/2 ton 16 foot van truck to haul in. And not to be forgotten a couple of pick ups hauling miscellaneous items needed to keep everything running.

I know it is a Chevy. What is the difference between a 6 window Chevy and a 6 window GMC?
Both are rare. Both are made by the same people, Both look the same except for the name plate.
My grandpa's truck was green too.

I need a couple more .One for a mower to mow drives into fields and one for a cement mixer.Oh and another for miscellaneous jobs not covered. That would put us at about 16or147 tractors then. Hitching takes a lot of time out of a day .
