Oliver 1809 Loader - manuals?

[billh1963]

I have an Oliver 1809 Loader on my Oliver 1850. Does anyone know where I can get a manual for it? The Floyd County Museum doesn't list anything. I've googled it, looked on ebay, etc. and haven't seen anything.

I'm looking for the lift capacity, part numbers for the hydraulic cylinders, etc.

The AGCO bookstore (AGCOpubs.com) does not show any manuals or parts books for the Oliver 1809 loader.

It appears these manuals are non-existent. Strange since I don't believe it's rare.

Maybe it's a 1609 loader, 1810?

Tag looks like 1809 to me. Could be wrong, though. Wouldn’t be the first time!

Got a picture of the rest of the loader?

That tag looks like 1609 to me, never seen an 1809 if they exist...

Probably is a 1609, then. Looked like 1809 to me and someone stuck some tape letters saying “1809” on it. But, they were probably wrong.

What’s the lift capacity of a 1609 on an 1850?

[Jim.ME]

I suggest a light rub of the tag with steel wool or ScotchBrite. Compare the digit in question to the 6 in the serial number stamping.

As far as I know, it was not a model for the 1850, so you probably have some custom brackets fabbed up and maybe some special welds in order to fit the loader. It was for the Super 77, Super 88, 770, 880, 1600 & 1800 tractors.

Looks like 1609 to me in this photo.

Looked at the tag in more detail and it’s a 1609. Seller was, apparently, wrong.

Anyone know the load capacity?

Thank you

No clue on load capacity but gotta ask. Why are your tires on backwards?

Bought it that way. I’ve seen it on loader tractors before. I’m going to change them around.

But, it’s probably to improve traction when backing out of a manure pile with a full load.

The Floyd County Museum does have the 16090 loader operator and parts manuals.

The museum has a web page on their site dedicated to the tractor information https://www.floydcountymuseum.org/?page_id=875 The manuals database is searchable. On a PC use Control F to open the search. I typed in 1609 and located 4 listings. The museum makes real good copies and if they have a lot of originals they will sell you an original manual.
