Open station 8700

Wonder how many open station 8700/9700 were made? First one I’ve seen for sale.

No numbers for you but I don’t think they are super rare, I have seen a handful of them. Definitely in the minority though compared to models with a cab.

Not common, but they're out there. I knew of both models w/o cabs within a half hour's drive of me. Both 8700's near me have been sold, the 9700 became a parts tractor.

That’s my tractor, bought it this summer from a wonderful farmer north of Wisconsin dells, needs a paint job but excellent shape otherwise. Thought long and hard about turbo charging it but now am going the route of putting a genesis engine in it for a hobby

That's going to be more than a hobby. I hope you know what you're up against. Also, the internal PTO shaft inside of your transmission will never handle the torque the 456 can dish out.

Just plan on pulling it in a few local pulls nothing crazy

I pulled a 9000 for 15 years. You need a turbo.

Yes I plan on a turbo , original plan was to turbocharge the 401 in it but a Genesis motor seems to bolt up pretty good from what I’ve heard so I’m going that direction, eventually

Many of the 9000s and 9600s in the pulling big leagues run the Genesis.

Forresters in Chamberburg PA seem to be the authority on pulling with the big New Hollands. They helped me out with my 9000. Ask for Corey.
