Deere 350 Sickle mower stand

Got a nice Deere 350 sickle mower from the in-laws place, got it home, it's sitting outside coated with WD40, but I want to move it into my shop before winter.
Shop has a nice concrete floor, but it's getting full and I would like to get the mower inside so I can work on it and store it.
I've looked around hoping somebody has made a stand or dolly so it could be moved around.
I can make about anything I need, plenty of big casters available, but this thing is so gangly it's been hard to figure out a place to attach some support brackets/casters.
Anybody out there already done this?

I have a 350. it is sitting on a piece of 3/4 plywood, 2 feet by 3 feet. the plywood is screwed to 2 cheap Harbor Freight dollies, is easy to move on concrete, and the mobility helps when hooking up. Separate small dolly for the bar.

Put cutterbsr in transport position and not so gangly and less space.

I've got a palletjack that I move things around in my shop. I has been very handy, even moving the workbench's...

Thanks for all the replies, I found an engine stand base I made 50 years ago, plenty over built, as most of my stuff is, I modified a pallet to fit with a 3/4" top, sure it will do the job, if I need some additional support I can add a strap or two.
Just spent a couple of hours fitting this thing to the pallet on top of a really strong base, 36"x30", but it took a long time to find a proper balance point, in the shop and balanced, but a gangly as this thing is, it could take a long time to figure out how to mount it and use it.
It's soon getting to the point this thing may soon become somebody else's problem.
Thanks for the information..

Just north of Center Point, no clue what it's worth or when I might send it down the road, it's in really nice shape, father-in-law kept all of his equipment in top shape so I'm guessing this piece is no different.
I really wanted something I could mow from the ditches out front and to the side of our 40, but after the neighbor told me there was no way to lift the bar up to mow up to the fence line, I'm starting to lose interest.
Why they didn't make it possible to add a cylinder to adjust the angle is a bit odd to me
This thing has so many insane adjustments it's hard to believe.
I've spent a lifetime correcting engineering cockups, but this one is off the scale.

No, just want to be able to drive in the ditch and mow up to the fenceline at about a 45' angle, the finceline is about 8' above the bottom of the ditch, I mow the ditch regularly with one of my 7' rotary cutters, just can't get up to the fenceline to make it nice.

Got a picture of it? Some of those sickle bar mowers can mow with the bar at any angle and some of them can't. It all depends on how the bar is driven.

If this one has the "any angle" mowing capacity it's fairly simple to add a hydraulic cylinder to control the angle of the bar. I did that on a Ford sickle bar mower.

I'll take a couple of shots of it today, I looked it over and really didn't see any attachment points that could use a cylinder, but this thing is such a rube goldberg mess anything is possibel

There were mid mount mowers that would do that. Models 50 and 250. Fairly rare. Mostly county and state used for similar purposes as your desires. Built 50 years ago.
Don't know how to modify your 350.

You are probably right, I might use it to cut hay next year around the perimeter, the neighbor will mow the rest

Get operators manual. Critical grease fittings in knife drive area. Check knife drive pin and bushings in knife head. Worn parts hammering destroy expensive or nla parts.

Have the operators manual, the one thing the father-in-law did was to grease equipment with a vengeance, just got done cleaning tons of it off of everything. looks like there is a fair amount of wear on the hold down plates and the wear plates under the guards, again, winter project between me and the Deere parts department.
Starting to figure out the hookup madness, just thinking this thing could have been done much better, it's my way to make thing better.

Took the sickle bar apart, looks like the wear plates and the hold down plates need to be replaced, the knives could stand to be replaced, a winter project to do that, not a big problem, just need the parts.
At this point considering this thing won't really do what I want it to, it will probably go to someone else when done.
