I want to remove 12 V. Battery, it appears U have to remove nut&bolt underneath steering wheel on post & tip both out @ same time. Hope to get it to turn over soon. Motor is loose
Also found starter button,crank & another AC battery box.

Unless someone has a non AC battery box on it the left side of the battery box comes off and the battery will just slide out to the left.

I hope your right, when I looked @ battery box it did not appear that way. I will check again .
I think it was replace by someone.
I am thinking starter comes off or & sterring column be removed to get old battery out
The motor is loose, now if a neighbor show up & helps I hope it would turn over if not it finds new home. Then on to mag. Radiator, Carb, sediment bowl then Gas tank
Spring is coming to WI

That looks like the AC battery box. Look at the left side to see if it is removable. The cover or top holds it on and at the front and back it has a bent lip to hold it from moving front and back.

The battery box on my C does not have a removable side. It is the original box. My grand father bought it new.

I believe you but it is hard to believe that AC would make it so you had to take the tractor apart to change a battery.

I currently do not access to the tractor. But IIRC, you remove the battery cables and unbolt the box at the base. Then remove the box/battery from the side.
