Looking for a complete pto gearbox for a JD 680 tiller. I believe JD had these tillers made in Germany. JD says parts are obsolete. Some information suggests they were made by Howard Rotovactor Co. Bought it new from JD dealer in 5-25-99. Lost the grease seal in the horizontal output shaft side. Leaked into the shaft housing to the chain drive housing. Heavy duty tiller with no real wear on the tines. Chain drive is in good condition. Used in broke garden soil only. The gearbox doesn’t hold much gear lube to be full. Has a long dipstick with the full mark near the bottom. Check it often but grease seal leaked during the garden season while in use. Only problem I have had with this tiller.
