Gushing gear oil

My 1850 gas has not run for well over a year and I'm reviving it now. There are no leaks under the tractor but when I start the engine it starts gushing brown oil from just over the left brake drum. I assume it is gear oil. Can someone tell me what might be happening. are there hydraulic brakes on this 1966 tractor?

Gushing? Like from behind the brake housing? Or from a line running above the brakes? The brakes are mechanical.
I see a line that looks good but there appears to be an oil filter of some sort. If it is leaking that would explain why it leaks when the engine is running. The top of the brake housing is wet.

Yup, that's exactly what I was thinking as I was reading. That's your transmission lube filter. I think you might have a rust hole in it or something.

What filter number do I need? Are they easy to get?
I'd have to go out to the shop and look in the cabinet. I'm in for the night. If nobody has answered by morning, I'll try to remember to look. I think any good auto parts store should have it.

I just did a quick search and came up with an old post. J Schwiebert said you can use the same filter for transmission lube that you use on the hydra power and over under. I believe that one is a Wix 51307.

On other thing I just thought of if it's not the filter. There's a steel line under the floorboard above the filter. You'll see where it goes in the housing, by your left foot. I had a hole blow in one of those once and that was blowing down on the left brake housing too.

Edit. Hang on now. That steel line is hydraulic oil I believe, so if it's gear oil, rule that line out.

From that pic, it's the filter.... Also a Napa 1307, Fram PH16, etc. The cross reference list goes on... You should have no trouble finding a filter I actually used a taller filter for mine because it's easier to access and remove, grip, etc. I think it's a Wix 51452 and whatever that crosses to...
