What Did You Do With Your Green Tractor Today?

I have been attending the Maine antique tractor club’s annual festival this weekend. 147 tractors, lots of Olivers. Pulling and displays. I brought 6 Olivers and pulled 2, my 77 and super 99 GM. I won the 5000lb class with the 77. The 99 is too big for our club so I pulled it as exhibition. The 1900 in the pic is not mine

Nice group of fleetlines! That 88 almost looks like a high crop in behind that nice little 77 orchard. I am sure Oliver had the best looking tractor on the market when they came out with that styling and paint scheme. Am I imagining this or did they not have some kind of general public input on colour ? Oh and you didnt have to point out that that was not your 1900. Any self respecting Oliver guy would never do that to such a classic tractor!! Assuming it is set up for a puller? I am most envious of your super 99 GM. I have always wanted one but they just dont come up for sale in my part of the world.

Thanks. I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that they did have public input on the color scheme. I got my 99 at an auction in Iowa and had it shipped up here a few months ago.

Drove my 77 in the annual Perry Co. (NW of Harrisburg) Old Iron Collectors Club Tractor Trot. I had the only Oliver.

Didn’t get any real good pictures.

Had a large stump ground up, used the 1550/loader to move chips around the yard for the missus to spread as mulch in her beds. Then moved a large pile of topsoil that was there since I added to the garage. Yesterday cut up and moved a couple of trunks that came down in the August storm last year. The brakes are not working well. Next job is fixing them and the leaky axle seals.

Got my ‘51 77 outside the shop to start scuffing the paint and rust off the main frame along with some degreasing of areas missed with the power washer. I’m trying to get as much surface prep done as I can outside while the weather is good before I start mechanical work and won’t be able to move it in and out.

Saturday I drove it in my first tractor trot.

Today I had it hooked up to the 4240 plow to make some setup adjustments.

Good evening. Unhooked the IH disc off the 1755, and hooked up and greased the dmi crumbler for Bailey to use Tues ahead of the JD 750 drill with soybeans. Maybe last field to drill. He disced it today with the big rig , mare's tailed and water hemp was taller than the disc. Gonna take 3 passes and then crumbler.

looks like a perkins. I assume part of the story is its a front tub off an 1850?
