I Won it at the auction yesterday.
Just got back from the credit union to wire the $ for it.
2018 2500HD work truck 4X4 Single cab, long bed -
Plain Jane, white. Exactly what I wanted. Most people won't even realize I upgraded -Perfect!
Last of the 6.0 and 6 speed which I know and trust and last year of this body style. I always thought Chevy made good looking pickups - all the way back to the 1940s but think the last 2 series are stupid looking.
Gotta fly down to Palm Beach, Fl to get it and drive it home. Visit an old Navy bud on my way.
Cost with tax and fees were about half that of a new one - plus the flight and gas.
12,213 miles on it.
Next time you're looking for a pickup I suggest you come here and start complaining. It'll help you find one and the replys will be entertaining.
Thanks to all for the replies to my first post.

Good Luck! A cousin bought a 1T wrecker like that, in Tampa. Before he got back to Indiana with it the engine blew.

Good deal. And southern vehicle so no rust hopefully underneath. I just updated from a 2015 to 2026 Tundra. Guy who fixed the gas tank strap that rusted off said it was getting bad underneath, so time to trade it as it still looked great.

Enjoy the trip. I once sent my Mom to Dallas to pick up a F350 and drive it back to Maine. One flat tire was the worst of the trip.

Looks like a nice truck, the first long drive is always fun. A little over 1500 miles/year average? I put more than that on my car in 2 weeks.

Nice, ultradog. I hope it will be a great pickup for you!

Glad you got what you wanted.
A little over a year ago, a high school classmate of mine bought his dream Chevy pickup from Carvana. He had to drive an hour to pick it up, so he took his mechanic buddy along so the mechanic could drive it back. The mechanic immediately knew there were transmission problems, but a quick call to Carvana was done and Carvana said just “to drive it”. After the drive back, the mechanic knew there were problems and my classmate called it in for a refund and Carvana said to drive it back to where it was picked up. By the time the truck made it back, the truck had first gear only.
This isn’t a knock on Carvana or Chevy as it could have happened to any seller or manufacturer. What I thought was funny was that Carvana had relisted the truck on their site before they had picked the truck back up, with the description of “a new transmission” and a $10K higher price tag.
Back on the subject of this thread, enjoy your new truck!

In my hood 150 miles from the beach I would never buy any vehicle that lived any of its life near a beach. The salt air are driving through a puddle of sea water it all it takes. This can be just as bad as a northern salt state.
If you are ever near a beach when the air is misty you would understand : (

Hooray! There's not much to compare to the feeling of a new vehicle. Soon it will be full of memories. Hopefully good ones!
