White 8700 Sieve Needed

Find myself in need of a sieve for my 8700. 8600 uses the same one. Already tried spallinger, worthington, and all states. Have a call out to Colfax in Iowa but haven’t heard back yet. Have a few more feelers out but figured I’d try here as well. Anybody have or know of an 86 or 8700 sitting around that someone would sell parts off of?

Did you check with Maibach?
I did but they don’t deal in combine salvage anyhow. They don’t have the room for it. Only machine they ever had was a green 7300 and even that is long gone. Nothing new old stock to be had. Found one in Kansas and possibly one in Ontario. I’ll know more tomorrow.

Since you've actually located a couple now, ask the seller measure more than just the overall size before paying freight. I'd want the frame dimensions, both diagonals, and close photos of the pivots and louver linkage. A sieve can look usable in a picture and still be twisted enough to be a headache once it's in the machine. If the Kansas one is straight and the linkage isn't worn out, the closer known-good part might be worth paying a little more for versus gambling on one farther away. Hard part seems to be finding one at all.

You may also want to try Waters tractor in Othello, Washington or Myers Ward here in California.
It took all week to get a deal done but I bought the one in Kansas. It’s shipping on Monday. If I had an 8900 this would have been easy. Since I was looking for 8700 parts I couldn’t throw a rock without hitting an 88/8900 parts machine which is the way my luck normally runs. Finding 86/8700s was like pulling hens teeth. Who knew the bigger machines would be more prevalent.

Sounds good. Keep for future reference though as I don't know if there are many left. Combines don't last long in our west coast scrapyards it seems.
Are there any rice combines out that way? The 8700 rice specials had a longer feeder house and I’m kinda half way looking for one of those.

If there are any left I don't know where they are. Our emissions rules killed off a lot of that stuff years ago. We have tons of rice country but it's mostly all north of Sacramento and I don't get out and about up there too much. I'll keep an eye out. There have to be some sitting somewhere.
