Changing oil

I looked on line for that particular two post car hoist and found nothing like it? I found everything but THAT lift? The prices are all over the map but nothing on that style lift.

....Looking back I think the lift itself is just like a lot that I did see online, I also think the platform equip to make the lift 'portable (tow-able) may be a homemade afair? IDK but it does look like a good combination but would add a substantial amount to an already couple thousand dollar lift. Which equates to a whole lot of oil changes as I see it. But a good setup just the same, which could be used to get under a vehicle to do a lot of different things other than just oil changes.

Yea , ya can;t believe the B/S they try and Scare you with . For the Normal person who knows NOTHING they Flimflam ya into unneeded repairs , or the Cause then On the road test . God how crocked the car dealers have become . Just to screw the ordinary man . This started in the mid to late seventys and has Blooded into todays service dept and the bottom line in the dealers ledger . They are are ALL LOW LIFE SCUM BAGS . They have tried to dig into my Knickers , the only thing is i was a master tech and i can call there play . I have the Scan tool to plug in and call there B/S i still know honest people to droop the dime on . I love to here them tell ME what they found that is NOT TRUE . Makes my blood BOIL .
On one of those car mechanical insurance commercial, they are always showing on TV where they list all those scary things your car repair shop can charge you with, One of those things they list is for a wheel bearing replacement. They list that price as being over $1000. I changed a front wheel bearing in my Ford minivan a few years back. It really wasn't much of a job at all. Of course I need not worry about that since none of those services are available in California.

If you can 'slither' under most of today's vehicles without lifting them in any way you must be an extremely thin individual. jmho

i wish, i just dig out the mound bigger and deeper and wider underneath hahahah  😂😎

yea the ole pants seem to fall apart more in certain areas, too much good (tastin) eatin, never said it was comfortable hahah

now you dont want to go too far under there, just enough to extend yer arms and twist yer head around so you dont get gouged too badly by all the metal stuff and what nots

I thought ramps would be a great idea.....not so. They are in the way getting to things under the vehicle and tend to slide on concrete floors.
Bolted a length of swingset chain to the lower edge on each of the ramps.
Ran the chain straight back so the rear tires held the ramps in place as you drove up.
Worked well if you were getting under the car from the front
