I sold my car trailer, a few years ago sold my tow truck I have wanted a full tilt trailer for awhile. I don't like messing with ramps this will be for local use I have a Ram 250 and a ford Super duty to pull with both diesel.

I will be hauling cars, trucks and light tractors. This is a full tilt I have read equipment trailers (equipment tilt) that have the rear tilt bed are not friendly to diesel pick ups, pick ups are nose heavy they will not self tilt when loaded. Kaufman sales factory direct I am with end 60 miles of a manufacture, it looks like a nice savings on the price.

I’m not the expert on trailers, so I'm just asking. When getting to that capacity, would a gooseneck be better?
Otherwise, IMO, that's a good price.

I’ve got a Kaufman 22 foot full tilt trailer that I use to haul my Skidsteer, 6 ton excavator, and a sixty hp tractor. My only regret is I didn’t have the factory installed brackets to attach a winch to.
I have three Kaufman trailers and I think they’re a quality built trailer.

I have never used a gooseneck, the Ford has a gooseneck hitch the Ram a fifth-wheel. I have not used the Fifth-wheel either.

Not being very familiar with trailers or tilt trailers at all, what is the point of the hole in back where the ‘ramps’ are?

I would think that is a negative if you have tricycle tractors or want to haul a narrow 4 wheeler or lawn mowers or the like?

(I realize it’s a big trailer to haul a lawn mower, but I tend to use what is hooked up or available, not always wait for the perfect tool for the job.)

Yes winch mount mandatory. I also asked about rear D-rings as I don't see them on the rear. The trailer weighs in at 3600lbs.

"hole in back, good question I dunno either". If I go with a Kaufman I may have them build it to my specs. This will be my last dream trailer.

Kaufmann makes good stuff, at least they used to. I'm not familiar with current production. My father in law had a de-rated 10k box trailer gooseneck, but was identical as the 14k, used it for hauling everything, including the tractor. The gooseneck would offer you better towing and maneuverability. He too did a factory direct order. I'm not sure how things have changed since I believe they sold off a few years ago.

Can you balance the load properly with th axles that far forward?

Cool trailer. Beats common cobbled up jobs. Be sure to specify the brake system you like, not always the default. Consider upgrading tires before delivery. Sometimes a few more dollars gets better rubber as they may be fighting for a rock bottom list price. Enjoy.

I have an old, not very long, full tilt bed, I think Rogers Bros trailer. It is single axle, 10 ton, four wheeled. I move my little dozer, (7-8 ton) with it. It's no problem to get the bed to tilt either way. The trailer you show is much longer. I would guess there is enough length that it would be no problem to get it to tilt either way.

My memory is kicking in! Some years ago I rode with a neighbor down to Bennettsville SC to pick up a detachable gooseneck heavy equipment trailer. I was impressed. I think we first thought our destination was one of their NC locations, then found we had to go to SC. We hadn't left central NY until midday. So we stayed overnight just east of Charlotte. Proceeded south and east the next morning. We were hitched up and ready to head north midday.

When was the last time you saw a new tricycle tractor roll off of a production line? Trailer companies today build trailers to specs of what the majority of people own. Not what was built 50-60 years ago.

Kaufman builds good trailers. I would highly recommend a hydraulic tilt bed thou. The ones I have saw without it seems they can be a little hard on a truck frame and suspension system when the bed slams down while loading something heavy on one. It all fairness most of that can be placed on the one doing the loading.

I have looked at there trailers in the past, and would buy one. I have 2 trailers and the 10000 lbs dump has D rings welded in bed and is nice to have them. But I not a fan of bumper trailers that long, I think for me it would need to be a gooseneck. But if it fits your needs it would be good and I think they are a quality trailer.

Its a power tilt. This is a link to one loaded with a F150, worst case a tractor with loader would need to be backed on to get weight distribution in range.

I have had a 20+foot tilt trailer for over 20 years. No problems. I have hauled utility tractors, skid steers. Super duty long box crew cabs and more with no problems what so ever. I highly recommend a tilt trailer for those of us who don't have kids to pull and set the ramps on a non tilt trailer. LOL. My youngest boy said the tilt bed was his favorite trailer just for that reason.
