Lawn All Tractor Information Wanted....

Hi All, I have a Lawn All tractor that was built in Johnstown, PA. I was just wondering if anyone else has ever run into one? Very well built tractor but oddly enough this is the only one I have seen. I'd love to find out more abut this, and be more than happy to pay for copies of manuals, literature, etc or be interested in purchasing original literature. Thanks!

Mark: Got a reply from "Blake", somewhere in the Johnstown area, with some info about the company.
Have asked for permission to pass on his email adds, or, in the alternative, that he post a reply on the site or email you through the site.
If he decides not to post or email in the next few days, post here and I'll post the info in his email to me.
He didn't mention anything about parts, just production location, models and engines., etc..

Thanks! The tractor I have runs great and isn't missing anything at all, I'd just love to find out more about the company and learn a bit of the history behind the tractor. I figure this tractor is so well put together, and with the tooling costs that would have been involved, even back then, that there must be some more of them out there somewhere. I've sent an email to the library in Johnstown but as of yet haven't received a reply. Thanks again...

Marc: Sending email thru system; post here if doesn"t come thru.
Blake advises that:
These were built in Conemaugh, PA, very near Johnstown; the factory or assembly works were at 440 Donruth Lane.;
That there were three models: Super (largest), Standard and Pacer (smallest), powered by four Wisc engines: 5, 6, 81/2 and 15HP;
That all had 3spd + rev, that elec start available on all, that to the best of his knowledge there were no 4WD models, that there was a Pacer recently for sale near him with Tiller steering;
That he wouldn"t mind having one himself, and that"s pretty well all he knows about them.

I have a Lawn-All that is currently running fine. It's a 1947 Standard (8.5 HP Wisconsin) model.
I don't have any information on them. I would love to find out more if anybody knows.

Do you still have your Lawn All?

Do you still have your Lawn All?
Welcome to the forums.

This site does not lock old threads like many sites do to prevent replies to them. This is a 2009 thread, 17 years old. Mark's avatar shows he was last seen in 2015, 11 years ago. Unlikely you will get an answer.

There is a time stamp just above the text box. And if hover over or click on a member's avatar beside their post most will show you when they were last seen (signed in). Those things can give you an idea of whether or not bring an old thread to the top is worth while.

The other thing that happens is often people read the first post of a thread (without looking at the date) and start replying to it, totally missing a thread like the one you added at a later date. In most cases it is best to start your own thread.

Good luck with your search.

I grew up less than 100 yards from the Lawn All assembly line, visited the facility often, and used their tractors to cut fields of grass. I may be able to answer some of your questions. Ask away.

I realize this is an older forum thread, but because these tractors are so specialized, information can be very difficult to find.

My grandfather passed away several years ago, and my uncle, who inherited the tractor, has since passed away as well. Unfortunately, my cousin's kids got into the shed where the tractor was stored and caused some damage. As a result, I'm now trying to restore it and get it running again.

The challenge is that all of the manuals and documentation have been lost, so I'm searching for information that seems almost impossible to find. The tractor is currently locked up at my grandmother's property, but I'm hoping to bring it home within the next week or two so I can begin working on it.

This tractor has been in my family since it was purchased new, and it means a great deal to us. I made a promise to my 90-year-old grandmother that I would do everything I can to bring it back to life and preserve this piece of our family's history.

If anyone has manuals, specifications, maintenance information, parts lists, or any knowledge about these tractors, I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide. Photos would also be extremely helpful. I am reaching out to family members to see if anyone has old pictures of the tractor with the front-mounted mower deck and snow plow attached, but so far I haven't had any luck.

I know the tractor is missing the side handle, and I'll probably have to fabricate a replacement, so any photos showing original details, attachments, controls, or restoration work would be greatly appreciated. At this point, anything is better than nothing.

Thank you in advance for any information or leads you can provide.

I grew up less than 100 yards from the Lawn All "factory", and I was inside frequently. I drove several of the different model tractors while working/cutting grass/etc. for the man who manufactured them.
I was mostly just a kid, but I have a pretty good memory, and I've always paid attention to things.
Rather than me telling everything I remember about the tractors, EVERYONE feel free to ask any questions you might have.
