    1966 Lamborghini 2R hydraulic issues

I’m helping a friend with his new acquisition. The 3 point did work, but now after painting the tractor, the 3 point doesn’t raise. There are apparently no hydraulic test ports I can put a gauge on and there are only two steel lines from the pump to the lift mechanism/tank. I have a schematic...

    450 inner brake housing removal

Thanks. That’s what it looks like and I see the spots that look like prying areas, but it didn’t seem to want to budge. Now that I know, I will put the big bars on it and pop it off.

    450 inner brake housing removal

I would like to replace the seal while I’m doing the brakes on my 450. The manuals aren’t clear how this comes off. The exploded view makes it look like it just comes off. It wiggles by hand a bit, but gentle prying doesn’t seem to do anything. Does the top cover have to come off just to get to...

JD to pioneer conversion kit question

I’m working on a ‘79 2640, and it the earlier series of serial numbers and I want to convert the two pairs of hydraulic couplers on the rear from the JD style to the pioneer. I want to install the kit that changes them over vs using adapters or something. On the JD parts lookup, it’s says the...

DaeDong L3502 grey market tractor info?

I am working on a friend’s tractor. As far as I can find, it appears this was a tractor built in Korea in the early 90s, then “reconditioned “ and a lot of them were imported and sold in the 2010 time frame. Would anyone have an operator’s manual they’d like to sell?

    Truck on board air compressor

I have a nice Viair 12v compressor with a 2 gallon tank mounted in my trucks tool box to run the exhaust brake and air horn. I also air up the airbags and power a pneumatic grease gun with it. It’s great for those things that don’t require much volume of air. It’s pretty slow and really wont...

    Recommendation for shop air compressor

I went thru the his about 3 years ago. After shopping around for way too long, I found the best deal at the local Quincy dealer. 5hp 175 psi and it will run a die grinder or air nozzle indefinitely. They delivered for free and it was $300 cheaper than anything comparable online. American made...

    Recommended manual grease gun

Last one I bought a few years ago was a Cat lever style from the local dealer. Works good when I can’t use my dewalt battery one.

    Battery Life

You want a Noco Genius or a Ctek maintainer. The cheap ones will just boil the battery in a few months. You want a 5 step maintainer that desulfates. Using one anytime a vehicle sits for more than a few days will double the life of the battery. More in really cold weather.

One wire, not as "typical" as many

If you’re going to use a 1 wire alt, then you need to install a disconnect or remove the battery cable when the tractor is stored, or the leakage through the diodes will kill the battery.

    What is it?

Yep. It compresses and then expands the ends of the rim so you can get the tire on and off. I have one for my 1924 Dodge Brothers Touring car.

    US General Toolboxes

I’ve had the biggest one for a couple years now. No problems at all. It rolls nicely when loaded. The locks aren’t the nicest to use, but for a hobbyist tool box, it’s very nice. If I was a pro, I would’ve gotten the Icon brand box. Those are pretty comparable to a Snap On for 1/4 the price.
