    1941 John Deere Model H

That is a fill spot for engine oil i do believe. The oil capacity is 4.5 quarts. Don't quote me for sure on that, its just what I found after a google search.

    removing the nozzle in dltx54

I have used an allen wrench before. I insert it from the intake side once the Choke disk and lever are out. the nozzle sticks up just enough and the 90 degree wrench allowed me to pry against the top of the inside of the carb. Works well for me.

    They are out there!

Im 19 and started when i was 16. I have an A and now a B, a 55ABH plow and a 2 row check wire planter that i have picked up since then. None of my friends are as much of a nut as i am. College, however, really puts a damper on time and funds.

You need to be a little more specific....connecting rods? head bolts etc.

    1944 B Valve Cover Removal

I tore my motor apart on my 44 B last fall. Time and college have kind of prevented any progress on reassembly. As far as i remember, there was just a little bit of oil, not a quart or anything like that. I believe there is a return channel or hole at the bottom of the head.

B JOHN DEERE WILL NOT START AND RUN

I had a similar problem in my '50 A and there were two causes. One i had a timing issue, but secondly my magneto needed recharged. There are large magnets in the magneto that after 10 or so years can lose polarity and cause weak spark. I took it to a local electric shop, and they charged...

    a different kind of project......ford F150

Hey guys. so i bought a used/new to me 2003 f150 with the 5.4L Triton. The first night i drove it the heat worked great, then it started cycling between puffs of cool and warm air, then just cool air. I checked the coolant, and today i changed the thermostat. I was on my way into town tonight...

    Babbited bearings

I asked a couple days ago how much it costs to get the babbits poured for my 1944 B. Does anyone know of a machine shop in NW Ohio, or relatively close to here that is capable of pouring them? Thanks guys.

    pouring babbited bearings

Looking at swapping a set of insert style bearings on my 1944 B. I found a set, but before I go for them, how much does having babbited style bearings poured cost? I am trying to compare the costs of the two before I shell out any $$. Thanks guys
