    44 Diesel starter question

The starter drive assembly blew up in my 44 diesel. They seem to be impossible to find. It is an Autolite MCK 4001 starter. Does anyone know of a supplier or a replacement part number?

    HD 260 Continental

I am rebuilding an hd260 continental engine but I didn't pay attention to which way the pistons go on the rod. Arrow on the piston shows front but does the numbers on the rod face the camshaft?

    Bearings for Continental H277, H260

I'm going off what i was told when I spoke to their parts department on the phone. They only service and sell parts for what equipment they sell. "None of that old stuff", is what i got told. and BTW he was not polite about it either.

    Vibrator coil

If the coil in the original is bad how are you getting power through to the vibrating contacts? Did you gut the coil from the original and run direct?

    UTS gas engine rebuild

I did hear somewhere that g900 pistons were used with a little machining. Am I totally off base?

    UTS gas engine rebuild

What other engines used the 4 1/4 bore like the 283. I'm needing some oversize pistons for mine. Have any of you folks done that and what machining was involved? .020 over is what I need for pistons. Thanks.

    W6 clutch specs

Just to clarify, this is not a new replacement clutch nor is it a worn out one. This one was installed years earlier by somebody that didn't know what they where doing. Everything is still in really good shape. Thanks for the Blue Ribbon manual.
