    Yes, that is a symptom of a problem with the ventilator pump. sometimes it's just the drain at the bottom of the pump that's plugged. No oil should be making it up the fan shaft in any case.

    If you use a cork gasket, do not put it in dry. Soak it in gasoline for a minute first.

    First Reduction Gear Cover

    After you remove the clutch cover, you will see 3 castle nuts with cotter pins. Remove the cotter pins, and turn each nut one flat at a time until you get a good "snap" when you engage and disengage the clutch.
