Interesting V8 Ford 8N on Ebay for sale...

I like the flip up hood! That would be a great standard feature.

    O/TMother Decision

Remember that there's 2 perspectives to deal with: hers & yours. She has to understand if it's in her own best interest and for the betterment of her health. After my mom had a stroke, she realized that none of us could give her the care she needed. It's not easy seeing your parent in a home...

    Let it snow

Here"s a little snowplowing tip! Plow about 100' of the road preceding your driveway. Then when the plow comes through, they have nothing to plug up the end of your driveway with! Simple, heh?(Stolen from Dell)

    Ford 2N cold weather

I"ve been considering the switch to the 134 hydraulic fluid for the winter, but can that be used in the summer as well? I"d prefer not to have to change it each spring and fall. I live in Northeast Wisconsin and for the engine oil I use 10W30 in the winter / 20W50 in the summer.

    Front mount plow

I found a front snow plow blade with the undercarriage for sale for $250. I've always wanted to get one. It's advertized to fit a Ford or Ferguson. The hydraulic ram is on, but no pump. Does that sound like a good price? I'd like to post a pic, but I'm not sure how to do so. Thanks!

    Good deal?

Strikes me a bit strange that a tractor in Florida would have a snowplow mount.

Sand Blasters Pressurized vr. Gravity feed ?

I have a gravity feed that I bought a few years ago from Harbor Freight. It works well as long as you keep the sand dry. I also recycle the sand occasionally, but it's a good idea to sift out any rust pieces. Those tend to create some hangups too.

    which blade?

A few years ago, I built a private airstip. After leveling with a blade, I purchased a King Kutter landscape rake to remove all rocks. It worked perfectly! It worked best when I kept the speed up and angled the rake so it flicked the stones to the side. It also works great for rounding up...

    Steering wheel wrap???

I bought my N 11 years ago and it had black electrical tape wrapped over the entire thing. You can tell some chunks of the plastic are missing because of the dips in the tape. Last year I had to add another layer over one portion. It has held up really well with virtually no cost.

    OT: Looking for welder advice...again

I posted a question a while back about what kind of arc welder to buy for some occasional implement welding. I want something that is able to weld steel up to 3/8" thick. The responses came back with the general info being that I should look for something at least 225 amp, Lincoln, etc. Great...

    O.T. - I wanna buy a welder

I'm in the market for a stick welder for occasional welding of 3/16" to 3/8" steel. I don't want to break the bank because I don't anticipate using it too much. Just playin' with attachments for my N, but haven't welded in over 20 years. I found a Hobart 205 amp for $240.00 at the local...
