    Hydraulic Remote Valve.

Hi, Chasing some info on changing over the remote valve currently on my 65. As you can see in my photo i there is no locking pin to hold the lever in place. (hence the rubber strap) i also had no joy removing the return bung you can see just below the valve not wanting to run the risk of...

    john deere b

I have a 44 B. When I got it I had the same issue and it had a dltx 71 on it. I tried like heck to get it running right but I couldn"t. Rebuilt the carb, went through the whole engine etc etc. I finally broke down and bought a dltx 67 (it has the later B block on it), rebuilt that carb and...

    High School Senior's Last Day

I used to drive my tractors up to school. Eventually the principal said I couldn't park it on school property anymore... (luckily we owned the field bordering the school parking lot so I left it in the field from then on...). Sure beat walking or taking the bus!

    My B wont fire/spark

Try a new condenser in the mag. Wouldn't hurt to get new points while you're in there. Hold a screwdriver up near the top of the mag with the cover off (where the spring touches to go to distributor). You ought to get a spark to jump at least a qtr inch.

    Tightening Flywheel on 45 B

I've always used the blue wrench (torch) to tighten mine and have never had a problem... Get the bolts glowin red in the middle and beat them suckers tight... Might be a bit more torque than what's speced, but I've never had one come loose.

    Wico C mag points.

Roll the engine over until they are open the full way. Install new points and then use feeler gauge to set gap.

JD A Transmission, going to rebuild.

I rebuilt the tranny in my 60 last winter. I got all but 1 bearing from APPLIED. www.applied.com If you can get the part number from the bearing itself, good. If not, get the JD part number, go to the JD website, sign in, look up the part. It will give you all the dimensions of the bearing...
