    BN on steels

    I have just bought a BN om steels. The rears are 5.5 inch wide with cast lugs and flat spokes. Perhaps more interestingly, the front is 8 inch wide with round spokes. Are these special in any way? I have not been able to find any photos anywhere. Any information would be gratefully received.

    I have just done this job on my 47A. I used a half inch steel plate with 6 22mm threaded rods drilled to fit through the six holes in the hub.     On this side of the pond we use TVO - tractor vaporising oil. Not available now but I mix 1 gallon of petrol with 4 gallons of heating oil. Both the H and the A run with no problems.
