    9600 electrical schematics

Worked on a 9600 today that I know little about. Starts and runs by applying power direct to starter. Does not turn over with key. Wiring is a mess down by the starter. Not sure where the yellow wire goes or what the small little electrical box is circled in red. Anyone have knowledge of this...

Ford 4000 delux contor seat adjustment

I have the earlier version as Ultradog has shown in pics. It has no spring suspension at all. Feels just solid. Tried adjusting with the threaded rod but seems to have no affect. Is something worn out that I can replace or am I missing something?

The screen on top of the fuel bowl and a screen inside the carb attached to the fuel inlet. Check and clean the two...

    Spark plug wire tube

Agree with Tim. Take the tube off the tractor and feed the wires thru using some dry lube or other. Do not have the ends on when feeding them thru. Put the distributor end on after fed thru.

    Ford 8N clutch replacement

Lets get real here. This is not a 2-3 hour job for most people and a novice more like 8-10 hours. I have done lots of mechanic work and I would say its a 6-8 hour job.

How many folks are "loving" this new site update?

Same people complaining about the new site also do no understand why anyone would want spin on oil filters, 12 volt system and electronic ignition. "Your living in the past man"

    Compression tester recommendation?

JB weld might work. No need to apply that much torque to seal.

    Ford 3000 hydraulic pump

Rest of the story. So mine does have the bigger side plug. Kind of down lower and did not see. Loosened plug and injected 20 psi into differential housing while tractor was running. There was a slow drip drip out of the plug. It took a quite few minutes to prime. I was almost going to give up...
