9600 electrical schematics

Worked on a 9600 today that I know little about. Starts and runs by applying power direct to starter. Does not turn over with key. Wiring is a mess down by the starter. Not sure where the yellow wire goes or what the small little electrical box is circled in red. Anyone have knowledge of this and/or electrical schematics they could share?

I haven't worked on or am familiar with a 9600 but that doesn't really look like anything OEM to me, for any tractor. That looks like someone stuck a starter type relay/solenoid on to supply power to an add-on. What is at the other end of the wires in that insulated cord (the one with the wire you circled in green in it)?

There should be a wire going to a small terminal, on the solenoid that is mounted on the starter, that provides power to activate the starter solenoid when the key is turned to "Start". It looks like that wire is there, but hard to see the connect in the dirt. Does it have power when the key is turned to start?

Exactly how are you applying power direct to the starter to start it?
