    I have a 2394 with the 24 speed. I prefer it over the 12 speeds in my other tractors. I don't think there's any difference in reliability myself.

    7110 vs 94 series

    7120 rear axles are the same as a 23/2594. 7110 is a lighter rear end with the axles out of the IH side of things, I believe a 5088 IIRC.

    I would agree that the most probable issue is the transmission control board under the console in the cab. I replaced one a couple of years ago and it was around $180 at the dealer.     The 359 is the CDC/Case engine used in the 1896/2096, Maxxum, and smaller MX series tractors. Can"t help you on the fitting one to a 930 though.

    You can buy both the outlet and the wiring harness from your Case dealer. The harness is a little spendy at around $80 if I remember correctly.

    Since none of us can plant corn yet...

    I'm currently running a 16R22" JD 7100 with the 2390. For many years we pulled a New Idea 8R22" with the 1070. The New Idea is just a Kinze painted orange so it matches up to the tractors pretty well. Both have been good planters for us.
