    Thank You, finding out my service manual pre-dates my exact model. I will have to go digital for some things it appears. I was able to move the covering with a little force to expose the shaft. I was just hesitant to get to aggressive until I knew what I was pounding on.

    Thank you, you are correct, split at tube and transmission. The diagrams in the service manual don't appear to be what I have, it is a high serial number. Am I just missing the roll pin? Please see attached photos.

    After further examination I can see that the collar is welded to the tube covering the propeller shaft. It has to be moved forward, but how (heat, big hammer)? Any suggestions before I cause more damage than necessary? Please?
