Allis XT190 vs 200 transmission and rearend

Yes, the 190XT Series III and the 200 had the most updates in the rear. I'd say by now most all the 190's that have survived this long have had the updated rear ends. The real early production tractors had smaller axles as well.

How many have bought the same tractor twice?

Back in March I found the first tractor I bought when I was 19 yrs old. A 185 Allis Chalmers with a Allis Chalmers loader. I recognized it in a picture on a online consignment auction 70 miles away from home. I bought it in October 1993 and traded it off for a different loader tractor in...

    Favorite Antique Tractor for Rides/Drive

My favorite tractor for cruise's is our 1964 Allis Chalmers D-15 series II High Crop. Tall tires for faster speeds and the Big Stick for on the fly shifting climbing hills. My 2nd choice would our 1975 Allis Chalmers 200 with factory cab. Andy

Yes we still use one for fall chisel plowing. It has been repowered with a Mack truck 6 cylinder engine. Our road district used it last summer to pull a sheep's foot. Andy

    Info on 1020 IH heads

Yes you can bolt a little plate with two 1/2" carriage bolt to make a 1020 head ridged. There is a pin on the wobble box end you have to use to lock it up. I believe 1020 header sizes are 13'-30'. I've had a 20' and a 30'. Now I run a 2020 30'. The 1020 series is a better head than the 2020...

Here I am with another not an antique

My 7410 JD, had same kind of cold start advance. Last summer it went bad and was shorting out the solenoid at the injection pump. The Deere Tech unplugged it and all is well now. Andy

    A-C 190XT

No, The best way to get apart would be unbolt the front weight/pivot from the frame rails and roll forward. I have never had very good luck trying to pull the front axel pivot pin.
