My drawbar support was leaking hydr. fluid the other day and I pumped grease in to the zerks on both sides and it stopped. where is the oil coming from?

Sounds like load shaft seals are leaking. Probably need to replace the shaft and seals.

If you decide to replace the seals be sure and put L/D control lever in "minimum" before removing shaft as follower(parts key 12) have been known to be dislodged when installing shaft if not in min. JD recommended to not to replace bushings unless they have noticeable wear. My 4255 with 11,000 plus hrs has original bushings.
