Exhaust leak at rear exhaust port.

Looks like a thermosteel product will be my choice. Can't buy the Devcon in a small quantity that I can find.

Exhaust leak at rear exhaust port.

When I search Devcon ceramic epoxy, I find a big variety of products. Is there a part number or Item.number for the one you use?

Exhaust leak at rear exhaust port.

Have some rust and pitting.of the block around the rear exhaust port. Is there a fix that holds a while? The manifold is burnt a little too. I bought a new one, but would like to get it to seal for a while when I change it. I've been adding a little extra gasket and jb weld extreme heat, but it...

    Hydraulic pump control valve, 2N

I dropped it and cleaned it up. It was broken right in the middle of the slim section. The rest was under the center of the pump buried in sludge. Looked pretty clean around the pump, but caked underneath. The little bar across the back had been hanging loose on one side, and probably wasn't...

    Hydraulic pump control valve, 2N

I guess I'll drop the pump and then at least I can see and maybe be able to get it out. This one wasn't nearly as nasty as some I've been in. A little old and very arthritic and then some here.

    Hydraulic pump control valve, 2N

The valve itself was broke and the front half of the valve and the sleeve around the spring sucked back in. This post was edited by arnold z on 08/15/2023 at 04:16 pm.

    Hydraulic pump control valve, 2N

The spring is between the bar across the back, and the head of the valve, through a sleeve like piece. I have 1/2" of the stem with cotter pin and the cross bar only. The rest was sticking out, but when I went back, it had sucked inside til only the spring was left hanging out. This post was...

    Hydraulic pump control valve, 2N

Working on a 2N and found the crossbar and 1/2" of the valve with cotter pin laying loose behind the pump. The lift worked if I worked the valve in and out by hand. Went out later to pull the valve, and only the spring was sticking out. The valve apparently sucked into the pump. I tried a...

    My '48 8N is cursed!

I'll put a set of ears against that. It is a front mount. No insulated stud there.

Video of that 1950 8N with the weird manifold running

May have have had a small internal leak between intake and exhaust. It's rare, but happens. It's next to impossible to figure out. the engine will run smooth as a sewing machine, but the exhaust will sound like you have a miss on a couple of cylinders. if it's bad enough, you'll have a little...

    Not much snow....But got Mountain?

My brothe lives just over the hill from you in north central WV, and they got a foot last night and planning on another. those may not be the tallest mountains, but there's a crap load of them, and sometimes you drive 16 miles to rise a 1/2 mile. 50 inches of snow in one storm and a high of 2...

    Alternators

If I use a 3 or 4 pole switch, I run to the acc., but if I get one with a working switch I leave it. The originals and the remakes are pretty weak. I've had a couple that would shut down just from the spare key swinging on the ring.
