    8n sediment bowl

I bought a new replacement gasket from my local New Holland dealer. It was made of rubber and cost me a buck. It fixed the leak on 1950 8N and don't leak now.

    NO OIL PRESSURE

Could be the oil tube, but if it ran ok before I would suspect the pressure relief valve in the oil pump is stuck. You may have to pull out the relief valve and fill the pump with oil to get bit to prime.

    massey 65 alternator problem

A picture of what you have would be helpful. It sounds like you have a Delco alternator. The large red wire on the single stud on the back should go to the amp guage and the from the guage to the battery. The larger of the two wires in the plug in I think goes to the ignition and the other goes...

How can I tell if the distributor is bad?

If it runs ok until it gets warm , you may have a bad coil. Check your spark when it acts up. You should see a bright blue spark. If it's not, your coil may be weak.

Learning how .090 sleeves will be installed in my 2N

I could be wrong as I haven't had one of these apart yet but as I understand from reading about it, the inside diameter of the new 0.090 sleeves is the same as the 0.040 sleeves. The difference is the outside diameter. The new sleeves are bigger around so you have to bore the block to accept them.

    Gas in the oil

I'd say you got the problem nailed down. Could be a sticky or leaky float or a worn needle and seat. Might be just a little gunk stuck on the needle and seat. Best practice is always turn off the fuel valve.

    Santa Feruson

I'm looking forward to getting some work done on my 54 TE-A20. Santa brought a new muffler system, new Zenith carburetor and air intake pipe along with some miscellaneous parts like some new adjustable stabilizers, rad hoses and such. Nothing like working on a new project to get your enthusiasm...

    1953 Golden Jubilee

The notched plate you need is called the throttle quadrant. It's available on this site and at nnalert's for about $10 new. The slow hydraulics could be a number of things. Check for water first. If it's only slow in this cold weather then you might consider changing it to 15w40 diesel engine...

    Engine Id

Thank you John. No engine problems I'm aware of, the tractor works very well. I do need to find or fabricate an air intake tube. I have a new Zenith carb for it now too.

    Steering Problem

Hi Mike, be sure to inspect the steel balls in the bottom of the steering shaft. If I remember right they run in a couple of steel tubes on the worm gear. If they are jammed up it can cause your problem. Joe

    Engine Id

Thanks Klaus! I realize the air tube is missing. I just bought the tractor a week or so ago. I've ordered a new Zenith carb and am going to make a new air tube out of stainless exhaust pipe. I have a friend at the muffler shop who is going to do this for me. The hoses are easy to get and I'll...

    Need Parts Shipped to Canada

Hello, I could be wrong but from what I've found out about the TEA20 hydraulic parts they are supposed to be the same as the Ford 8N. I know the lift cylinder is identical. You could try one of the suppliers for 8N parts.
