    Pioneer couplings

I have a 1964 IH 806, I recently went to replace a leaking Pioneer coupling. Went to Tractor Supply a bought both a male and female, they won't fit my threaded ends. To small. What do I need? I bought 1/2 inch. Just slightly smaller but 3/4 is to large. Any help appreciated. Thanks

    Studebaker Powered dragline

Certainly sounds interesting and sure has peaked my interest. I have operated a dozen different brands of draglines both gas and diesel but have never even seen one with a Studebaker engine in it. Unit cranes generally used Chrysler gas engines, Shield Bantam used Continental gas engines...

    .806 Hydraulics

Thanks so much for the useful information. I noticed one of the couplers was leaking. Last time I used it. Never has before. One coupling is tipped, the other three are ball type.

    .806 Hydraulics

Yes I did notice that one coupler had a pointed tip on it, the others were the ball type. Should I get a new matching set? Also that one had started leaking somewhat.

    .806 Hydraulics

I have a 1964 806. Installed a new hydraulic pump about a year and half ago. Everything fine till two weeks ago. I only use it for pulling a 15' batwing rotory cutter. I has gotten to where the wings struggle to raise. By quickly moving the remote lever from neutral to raise position about 25...

    Burnt tractor

We have a 1967 Ford 3000. It recently burnt while mowing pasture. Of course the right siege got hotter than the left because of the battery. All in all not that bad considering. I went to remove the fuel pump, it is a Simms. Gonna put it in time, engine turned so far and that was it. Removed the...

    Need a stumpjumper

Over the years I have met many great people on this site and bought many things. On 10-13-16 I thought I was buying and paid $310.00 to a man in Reno, NV.by the name of John Johnson for a stumpjumper for a John Deere 1508 rotary cutter. I have not received the stumpjumper nor do I expect to now...

    806 Hydraulics

I have a 1964 806 gas. Yesterday the hydraulics decided they wanted to quit. Pulling a 15ft. batwing, the wings quit lifting, 3pt. won't lift, power steering works, brakes work. What could cause this? Clogged filter? Will change it next trip to the farm. What else could it be? Where is the pump...

    Fan belt

Broke a fan belt today, then bush hogged it into shreds. I't was on a 1964 IH 806 gas, It went from the crank pulley around the generator pulley and the water pump pulley, does anybody know what size/length belt it takes? Farm is 70 miles away, don't want to go up there emptyhanded, if you know...

    Flywheel

I have a 1962 Ford 4000 Industrial w/172c.i. gas, four speed, w/Sherman stepdown. My question is should the flywheel have a stepdown where the presure bolts to or is the flywheel to be flat all the way across? Like a 1/8 inch or so stepdown?

    startup

    startup

I have a 1953 TD-6, gas to diesel, of course. It used to start good on gas side, no longer does. Cleaned carb, still won't. It fires but it's like it's getting diesel in it. Hear it snapping over well. Any thoughts. Thanks. Switch from diesel back to gas and it runs like a watch.

    clutch

I have a 1962 4000 HD Industrial with a 10",15 spline single clutch. I did not remove myself. My question, does the short side of the clutch hub go toward the flywheel or does the long side? Thanks.
