L3300 Kubota crank seal replacement tips.

So new to me tractor w/loader and could use a little help . Tore it down far enough to confirm main seal leaking. Of course wasn't hard to see anyway with the oil flinging around off the pulley and fan belt. Call it a light mist. Couple questions having never done this particular repair...

51 M TOM check valve leaking a lot

Could you tell me if there are any special tips about installing the new o rings like lubing the new o ring with hyd fluid or just insert dry ? Its a tight fit for sure. I pulled the plug out and haven't removed the old o-ring yet but looks more leathery than rubber. Ordered a new o ring a week...

51 JD M touch o matic leaking at check valve port

Thank you, Starting with a new o-ring sounds like a good place to start. With the SN in the 49100s I'm assuming the plug was already updated. Nothing in the parts list to say otherwise. I'll be some happy if a few bucks fixes it !

51 JD M touch o matic leaking at check valve port

Could use a little help if anyone has had similar issues and fixed or replaced one of these assemblies. The manual says the check valve assembly should not be taken apart unless a new assembly is to be installed. Doubt a new assembly is even available or if there is another remedy ? Any...

51 M TOM check valve leaking a lot

M-man , by leaking I mean fluid comes out of the check valve assembly hole at the snap ring when the drawbar is raised. It is at the top left side of the TOM unit by the filler cap. Although it still works It seems to have lost some pressure due to the leak. I don't have the down...

    Model M Hydraulic valve housing

Seem to have developed a small fluid leak at the check valve on this M's hydraulic housing. Anything to be concerned about to those in the know ? Manual says don't mess with it unless you plan on installing a new check valve push rod.

    How much is enough?

Depends on the snow type and equipment i suppose. Usually 8" to a foot deep is a good time to get started if its a blizzard. Heavy wet snow sooner than that. Plowing with a model M. We had 4" light powder last night not even going to bother with.

    49 JD-M over heating

Never had overheating in my 51 M but did find that the distributor was put in backwards by someone before me. I finally got into the bottom of the engine one day and with the front cylinder at TDC on the power stroke got the oil pump to mesh the gears where it was suppose to be . Borrowed a...

TSX 245 carb weep plug weeping

How do you tell if the float is bad ? I had this off and all apart couple months ago . The float seemed ok, no gas in it. Needle and seat was replaced about a year or 2 ago. Thought I had it fixed but no, leaking again.

51 Model M hydraulic pressure line leak at pump.

Update: Installed new pressure line (stainless i think, not the original copper-nickel ?)from dash to pump. The new pipe was bent in the wrong direction horizontally the last few inches nearest the pump so had to play with that to get it close enough for the nut to grab the threads at the pump...
