H - starting system...
This has been ongoing for a few years; you guys have helped me a few times; so here it is again; My 1942 6V H Tractor starts hard- or wont start at all. I mean it cranks slow...after the first hit it might go 5 or 6 turns then thats it; I have a new 6V battery; new starter from this site; new...- banjoman09

Case 1030- out of Fuel...
To let everyone know I did get it running this evening- thank God:) I went to town and bought a few things and spent 2 hrs building a fuel cap with a Schrader air valve in the center; worked fine but took 4 tanks of air to get fuel to the pump; thanks for all the help guys! BJM- banjoman09

Case 1030- out of Fuel...
ok and thanks- i put the pump in new about 5 yrs ago when I ran it out of fuel- still I ordered another one today but will be 3-4 days when it comes. I have 10 gal in it - the fuel pumps in town are out of order for 2 weeks; will keep trying- thanks!- banjoman09

Case 1030- out of Fuel...
Ok I messed up! Gauge shows fuel but it ran out of fuel- so I need a new sending unit but for now...Im a bit lost. I havent ran down the batteries yet; I filled both filters with fuel and still can not get the little primer pump to build pressure; there's another filter upfront by the pump thats...- banjoman09

Pulled the sending unit and yes; the float was no longer on the wire arm - fell off I guess. So your message is a life saver! Thanks! Now the screen filter also is bad....have a link for it also? I did Google the complete sending unit and so far no luck. Thanks!- banjoman09

yes I can use a stick...lol...I just like things to work:) With the key on- the gauge reads empty when I remove the wire on the sending unit- the needle goes to the right....or past full; when I ground the wire ; it goes back to empty; so I did replace the sending unit about 5 yrs ago- maybe it...- banjoman09
