    Ford 801 Powermaster Clutch issues

If I'm reading this correctly, the pedal is moving the clutch enough to allow you to slip it into gear, but not throwing far enough to prevent engagement. That sounds like the linkage (external) needs adjusting. The other thing I would have checked would have been the second stage PTO...

Front end loader needed for Ford 860

Not to step on anyone, but I'm also looking, and I'm a lot closer to you than the original poster, so if he is passing on your loader, I might be interested. What model, and pics? I'm 20 miles north of Winchester, va.

CO2 Aluminum bottle for filling tires

Scuba tanks-I'm an avid wreck diver-we have used air chisels connected to a scuba tank at 150 ft deep to get portholes off. Good for two dives on average. Same setup has been used to reinflate tires after a beach dive. Lol.

    Ford 850 Project Tractor Candidate

I meant the tractor looked worn, not the tires. New tires-$600-1000. Without a radiator, no way to run it until it's truly at operating temperature, so no way to check the oil pressure and hydraulics. The guy ran it with open hoses-I would wonder how long he's done that before. How hot did it...

    Ford 850 Project Tractor Candidate

Is that paint on the tires, or just a trick of the light? That one looks a bit worn. The fresher paint on the front axle seems to stop where the sheet metal normally sits, and looks crusty right around there. In my area, I see ones in that shape right around $2k, that's together, able to be...

    Good clutch for a 660

Well, I actually just ordered one, I've dealt with reliable before, at least for me, great service. It's going in my 860, as the P.O. adjusted mine to the point 3 of the fingers are worn through, the ears are off the throw out bearing, so I don't have enough left to rebuild.

    Good clutch for a 660

I meant that it's looking like the same part no matter where you get it, so, unless you are going to send yours out.....

    Good clutch for a 660

The part number is a 311435-kit. Same number listed on new Holland site, and here, and the bay.

    860 release carrier needed

Wow!! Another $50, and it's what I paid for the whole tractor, and it has new tires on the rear.... I saw parts spring come up-have you, or anyone used them? And thanks to all for the replies!!

    860 release carrier needed

Ok, it's on there, as a clutch hub-looks to be made of "Unobtanium", as the superseded part number (86531345) comes up with no hits....

    860 release carrier needed

Trying this again, not seeing my first reply, so sorry if this doubles it- The diagram doesn't show the carrier. Wengers does list the part, but is out of stock. I tried linking in my previous post, that didn't exactly work, lol. Yes, that is the number cast-exactly NDA-7571-C.

    860 release carrier needed

Here it is at Wenger: http://www.external_link/parts/Farm-Tractor-Parts/Ford/Series/900/CLUTCH/Sub-Component/RELEASE-BEARING-HUB/01-7571C_NDA.htm I've found the new holland site diagrams incomplete more than once.

    860 release carrier needed

Well, I split the 860 (1955) I picked up that had a "bad" clutch. P.O. had "adjusted" it, then it ran for a few, and quit. Well, his adjustment led to the clutch fingers being worn through, the release carrier somehow sitting behind the forks, and the carrier is worn through on one side in the...

OT- What do you use to haul your tractors?

Wow, a lot of you use lighter vehicles than I'd have thought. Any hauling I do I use a 74 W300- dodge (1 ton extended cab 4x4).
