Ferguson TO20 starting issues
I looked up what a resistor looks like and my tractor does not have one. And it never has. When I replaced to coil I snapped a pic of it before just to make sure I put it back on correctly. I have checked it all again and everything is hooked up correctly and all test good. Except I'm not so...- bigdogpaul

Battery cables 4 gauge Coil part #27470 (external resistor)not sure if brand. No name on it except part # I've had no problems with it starting up until now.- bigdogpaul

Ferguson TO20 starting issues
Hello, I have a 1951 ferguson TO20 tractor. My coil was cracked so I replaced it. Tried to start it and it will just turn over and not start. Then my battery drained, so took it and had it tested. Good battery hooked it up to the charger. Fully charged then tried to start it again but this...- bigdogpaul

Thank you. I did find the problem. I took off the starter, alternator, and battery had them all checked and they tested good. Put it all back together and it started right up. The only change was a new voltage regulator. Must have been a connection issue.- bigdogpaul

I need help. I'm not mechanically inclined. But, I bought a MF TO20 last October. It ran just fine no problems. Over winter I started every now and then, no problems.
