    Rear ballast

What jeffcat said was that YOU THOUGHT AHEAD and made YOUR barrel with the top point for the center link so it WON"T swing and bend the PTO shaft.

Another Farmer killed in tractor accident

Very sad. A good friend of mine was 16 when his father was killed on his M in a roll-over. They kept the tractor and restored in, and still used it quite a bit. 19 years later my friend was killed on the same tractor in the same field in the same type of accident that his father was. My...

    Truck hardware question

Ford sway bar links are well known for breaking, especially if you do any kind of off-roading on uneven terrain like terraces, ditches, and creek banks. Anything that flexes the suspension. Off-roaders looking for better articulation get links that can be disconnected by pulling a pin for full...

    Generator Neutral?

Thanks B&D and John T for the help. Basically you re saying the same thing from what I m getting from you, since the breaker is a 2-pole breaker, it will not be switching the neutral, which means the generator s floating neutral will be correct for my situation. I ve talked to my power...

    Generator Neutral?

Time to wire up my generator circuit. I ve read several threads here mentioning bonded and floating neutrals. I will be using the proper Eaton interlock for my panel, a 30amp 2-pole breaker, and I m going to use a 4-wire drier receptacle in a weatherproof box on our deck so I can use it for my...

Tire ballast other than Calcium or steel

The cheapest I've found Ethylene glycol antifreeze is @ $10/gal which would work out to $5/gal after you cut it. I can get a 270 gallon tote of windshield washer for $1.70/gal, $459, plus tax. I did see someone post up a while back that Lowes or Home Depot had windshield washer on sale for...

Can I safely and legally tow this load?

Yes, that's a lot of tongue weight on a bumper pull trailer. It would be like putting at least that much weight in the bed. Probably even 100-200 more with the leverage of being so far back. I'd at least try to stay under 1000, preferably @ 600-800. Just my $0.02. -Scott
