Ford 3000 Head Gasket is baffling me
Could someone maybe riddle me this? If one of the cylinders is not firing because the plug wire is off, isn't it likely that the temperature of that cylinder is lower and it's leaking at every gasket? ( Fuel out the exhaust port and coolant at the head gasket. ) Two cylinders are firing and... -

Help Gas in engine oil
It was one thing after another. First one did not leak, but tractor ran VERY rich. I checked the fuel pressure, it was over 100PSI and this is a gas tractor. The next two pumps leaked at the top after being on the tractor for one day. Seems the gasket used is not made from the correct material... -

Help Gas in engine oil
Make sure you test the new fuel pump before putting it on. They are made in India and the quality is not so good. I put 3 of them on my tractor before I got one that would not leak and would also produce the proper pressure. Get some pipe thread to barb fittings, some rubber gas line and... -

I agree. Liners look to be around $70.00 each. stumbled on a product called Tyrfil. Called the local dealer, $115.00 each to fill with this and the tire becomes semi solid and will never flat. Might be worth it. Anyone ever hear of this stuff? It does add 75 pounds to each of my 6.00 X 16... -

Thanks for the info. Never heard of a tire liner, but did a search and there are some made here in Ohio. I will buy some and install them and can get on with the land clearing without the flat tire delays. -

valve cover gasket replacement without removing hood, tank..
Back in the early 1970"s I worked for VW. We used 3M Fasttack ( a headliner adhesive ) to glue the cork valve cover gaskets to the valve covers. Worked great. Held gasket in place and was easy to clean off the next time. never had a cork gasket leak as long as it was in place when tightened down. -

in your photo of the top link, it shows no threads at the tractor and threads at the box end. You need to get it so that both ends are the same, have the same amount of treads showing. You can remove the top link, measure between the eyes, screw the thead showing end in and unscrew the other... -

The upper link of the 3 point hitch is meant to be adjustable with it hooked up to the tractor. It looks like you have a pin in the hole of the middle section. Remove that pin, there should be a rod that comes with the top link , that will fit in the hole that the pin is in, you use that... -

Hook up a timing light, remove the vacuum line from the distributor and put another temporary tube on it. Start engine, check timing and suck on the temporary tube going to the distributor. If the vacuum advance is working, the timing will advance and you will see it using the timing light. -
